Puzzle Piecing with Jen Kingwell - Class Deposit

We are thrilled to have Jen in the studio for three days of stitching! During this workshop we will be exploring the possibilites of using all our orphan blocks and pieces left over from other projects and turning them into a masterpiece. Or you can start making your own sampler style quilt using one of Jen's patterns: Delilah, Green Tea and Sweet Beans, Long Time Gone or any blocks from the range of tempters. We encourage you to bring ufp’s with to build upon but you are also welcome to begin a brand new project and to learn tips and tricks for hand piecing.
This $150 deposit is required to hold your spot in the class, final payment of $450 will be due two months before the class. You will receive an email and payment link at that time.
Required Supplies:
- Your chosen pattern or templates and fabric requirements for said chosen project or all your orphan blocks
- A variety of small cut fabrics. Remember to include some florals, geometrics, spots, stripes etc.
- Scraps, fat sixteenths and eighths work well (and remember more is always better)
- Quarter inch graph paper for planning
- Thick template plastic
- Ultra fine permanent marker
- Scissors for cutting plasticFabric scissors
- Straw or milliners needles size 11
- 50wt cotton thread to blend with fabrics for piecing in neutral colour eg. Grey
- 50wt or 80wt thread for applique in a variety of colours
- General sewing requirements eg. Pins etc.
- 0.7mm mechanical pencil (propelling pencil) with 2b or 2 lead (usa)
- 1/4" simple seam wheel
- Sandpaper board
- 12” x 6” ruler (or something similar)
- Rotary cutting equipment
