"Demeter is based on a Liberty impression sheet from the 1920s, which has been meticulously redrawn in the studio to retain the original distinct texture and linework. Scattered poppies, daisies, cornflowers and miniature buds are framed within a network of graphic chevron sprigs, creating geometric forms that evoke ears of corn in reference to the Greek goddess of the harvest."
