Tip Tuesday

Lesley recently finished the Maggie Quilt by Kitchen Table Quilting and shared a few things that helped along the way.

This quilt has lots of beautiful movement and plenty of pieces coming together, so a few small adjustments made the process smoother — from seam allowance and layout planning to helpful tools and stabilizing spray.

Take a look through the slides for Lesley’s tips and a closer look at the quilt.

If you’ve been thinking about making the Maggie Quilt, we still have patterns available at the shop!

Maker Spotlight

Maker Spotlight - March 10, 2026 - Jen's Posh Penelope Quilt

Some quilts are just plain fun to watch come together — and Jen’s Posh Penelope is definitely one of them.

She’s been working on this quilt a few blocks at a time during our monthly Friday Frenzie Open Workshop, and we’ve loved seeing it grow month after month.

The Posh Penelope pattern from Sew Kind of Wonderful uses the Quick Curve Ruler, which helps create those smooth curved shapes with surprising ease. Jen has been mixing Tilda, Stephanie Organes, and some favourite prints from her stash, giving the quilt that cheerful, scrappy look that makes every block feel a little different.

It’s a great reminder that quilts don’t have to be rushed. Sometimes it’s just a few blocks at a time, good company, and watching something beautiful slowly take shape.

If you’ve been curious about curved piecing, Posh Penelope patterns and Quick Curve Rulers are available in the shop.
