Learn to create a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind Thread Pod pouch inspired by Wendy Williams’ vibrant style! This practical and decorative pouch is perfect for storing thread, notions, or small treasures—and it’s a great way to showcase your stitching skills.

Pattern includes 3 sizes. Our sample is made with wool felt and is the large size. This is a beautiful and easy product to work with and comes in a vast array of colors. We used felt for all 6 sides, each side embellished with flowers and stitches. You can construct yours as we did, do a combination of fabric and felt or all fabric.

In class we will focus on the embellishment aspect of this project. We will discuss needles, threads and stitching options.

No prior experience required—just bring your love for stitching and a creative spirit.

Supply list

▪ Pattern from Flyingfish Kits - we will have available for purchase

▪ Fabric as outlined in pattern – we will have kits available for purchase. Kit will include wool felt for exterior and appliqué elements and fabrics for lining, casing and drawstring. Will NOT INCLUDE batting or bag foam.

▪ Additional supplies as outlined in pattern

▪ basic sewing kit including small sharp scissors ,pins, thimble (if you use one)

▪ Cutting mat, rotary cutter and ruler

▪ Fabric marking tool – chalk pencil or frixon pen

▪ Assortment of needles including chenille and milliners

▪ Sharp embroidery scissors

▪ Freezer paper

▪ Paper scissors

▪ Pencil

▪ Perfect circles or circle template

▪ Sharp scissors for cutting out wool appliqué

▪ Appliqué pins

▪ Ironing surface and small iron – not necessary but would be helpful

▪ Threads for stitching. Our sample used all size 8 perle cotton
