Tip Tuesday: Stitching with purpose
Students joined Trudy Cowan for a day of Sashiko & Boro stitching, focusing on technique, texture, and the foundations of these traditional hand-stitching methods.
While the class is centered around learning and exploring stitches, a small offhand discussion sparked inspiration on how to give practice pieces a second life — from cushions and pouches to mug rugs and placemats.
Trudy will be back this winter with her Intro to Sashiko class — keep an eye out for dates closer to when our winter schedule is released!

We’re stepping into the week with a little extra flair — take a look at some of the incredible sneakers made during Ron’s two classes this past week!
From Liberty florals to bold, artsy prints, every pair is a total showstopper and a perfect reflection of its maker’s style. We’re so inspired by the creativity, skill, and attention to detail that came out of these sessions.
