A little French romance has arrived at OOH! Le Jardin Rouge from French General invites you into an imagined garden filled with delicate florals, winding vines, charming birds, timeless toile, and beautiful little ditsy prints. With its sophisticated palette of classic reds, soft terracotta, pearl, and gentle grey, this collection has all the warmth and elegance we love from French General.
We’re thrilled to have the full collection available in yardage, along with two beautiful Fat Quarter Bundles: Provincial Rouge and Parisian Blush. Whether you’re planning a quilt, starting a French-inspired stash, or can’t resist a gorgeous floral, Le Jardin Rouge is sure to fill that.

New: Double-Dyed Wool + Velvet from Sue Spargo
We were beautifully struck by these colours at the H + H trade show (image above) and have been patiently waiting for them to make their way into the shop. Well… they’re HERE!
The full collection of Sue Spargo Double-Dyed Wool has arrived, and honestly, the colours are even more delicious in person.
Sue Spargo’s wools are milled in the USA and hand-dyed in her Ohio studio. The Double-Dye process builds layers of colour into the wool, creating those wonderfully rich, nuanced shades with lots of depth and movement. No boring, flat colours here! Each piece is already pre-cut at a fat-eighth (approx measurement: 14" x 17”).
And that variation is exactly what makes them so fun to stitch with. A single piece can have subtle shifts in colour that add so much personality to appliqué, embroidery, wool work and whatever creative project you have brewing in your head.
We have the whole collection in the shop, so come by and get up close with all those gorgeous colours. We have a feeling choosing just one might be the hardest part.
Sue Spargo Double-Dyed Wool is now available in-store and online!
Hand-dyed in Sue’s Ohio studio, these gorgeous velvets are rich, vibrant and full of beautiful colour variation. The soft pile catches the light in the most delicious way, adding a little extra texture, shimmer and dimension to your stitching.
They’re especially lovely for hand embroidery and wool appliqué—think flowers, leaves, berries, little details, or anywhere your project could use a touch of fancy.
We’ve got them pre-cut into Fat 1/16s, approximately 8" x 10", making it easy to pick up a few colours and have fun mixing them with your wool stash.
Come see the colours in person—you might arrive looking for one and leave with… well, we won’t tell.

We’ve been having some fun behind the scenes and have shop-curated six gorgeous bundles of silk ribbon, each one put together with a beautiful mix of colours!
Each bundle includes 5 different silk ribbons, 3 metres of each, giving you a generous 15 metres of ribbon per package. The ribbons range from approximately 3.5mm to 7mm wide, making them perfect for adding delicate colour, texture, and a little something special to your embroidery, embellishment, crazy quilting, and other creative projects.
