Tip Tuesday:
This week, we’re bringing you some hot takes on garment sewing, straight from our friend Olivia of @dahabcouture (https://www.instagram.com/dahabcouture)! She stopped by the shop, picked up some fabric, and dropped some solid wisdom for beginner sewists:
- Pre-wash your fabric the same way you'll wash your finished piece—no surprises later!
- Grainline matters! Cutting on the grain = better fit and less frustration.
- Natural fibers—wool, linen, silk—make for an easier sewing process, and longer-lasting garments.

We switched up our Staff Pick this week and instead, we are featuring a Maker Spotlight!
Today, we're shining the highlight on our OOH friend Corrine, who made the cool version of Tilda’s Sanctuary Quilt! Seeing it come together in person was such a treat.
This pattern feels like a cozy little fabric village, and we love how it turned out. If you’re feeling inspired (or just looking for a project to momentarily distract you from your current WIP), we still have warm-toned kits available!
