Tip Tuesday
Quilt Canada is almost here, and we've been busy packing some of our favourite projects, kits, and creative finds to bring along with us!
From Liberty bag kits and Petit Pan Mini Clasp Boxes to Canadian-designed embroidery kits, Robin Pickens cross stitch, and our exclusive Jen Kingwell Upgrade Quilt kits in both Meadow Marmalade and Seaglass colourways, Booth #39 will be full of inspiration and plenty of take-home projects.

Maker Spotlight
This week, we're featuring Jamie's beautiful Upgrade Quilt from Gathered by Jen Kingwell.
Jamie stitched not one, but two Upgrade quilts back-to-back and fell in love with how differently each colourway tells the story of the pattern. While both are stunning, her personal favourite is Seaglass, with its soft blues, greens, and coastal-inspired palette. We're also bringing a second kit option, Meadow Marmalade, featuring a fresh mix of florals and warm, cheerful tones.
A few of Jamie's favourite tips for making the quilt:
- Cut and sew one border at a time rather than cutting the entire quilt at once. It breaks the project into manageable sections and helps reduce wrist fatigue from long cutting sessions.
- The cornerstones are what truly bring the design together, creating a beautiful framework for each round. She especially loves the opportunity to play with colour placement in the HST corners, giving each quilt its own personality.
We'll be bringing both Seaglass and Meadow Marmalade Quilt kits with us to Quilt Canada 2026, so if you're attending June 18–20 in Winnipeg, be sure to stop by and see them in person!
